Subscribers in Bahrain can enjoy the services offered through high speed internet, Thanks to Batelco's effort in building optical fiber network capable to deliver high speed broadband services. With this announcement Batelco gains the reputation as the first telecom operator in Bahrain to offer 100 Mbps internet speed to homes.
The neighboring countries had already embarked in to the world of high speed internet connectivity through optical fibers. Batelco has started rolling out access to Broadband technology using fiber optic cables. Batelco will use GPON technology to deliver super fast broadband services to its subscribers. The network will deliver superfast speed access to the Internet and allows customers to choose any of the Superfast speed Broadband packages available. This is in line with the national broadband plan initiated by the government of Bahrain, to provide fast speed internet to every household in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
GPON technology is now available across Bahrain and Batelco is in a position to launch super fast speed Broadband packages to allow customers to enjoy further enhanced experience with a very reliable and stable service. The launch of the advanced optic fiber technology is in line with Batelco's ongoing commitment to deliver the most advanced communications technology available to their customers.
Existing packages will be still available along with the new packages. Batelco has presented 3 new packages to suit its customers needs, with speeds up to 100 Mbps, with prices starting from BD 50. With these superfast speeds, the broadband access will facilitate customers to instantly complete downloading movies, stream high definition videos, play online games and upload large files smoothly.
