Location: Leinster, Ireland
An experienced Fibre Optic Splicer and Tester is required to undertake the fusion and mechanically splicing of fibre optic cables in cabinets and buildings in the Leinster area, with further travel sometimes required. The Fibre Optic Splicer will have previous experience working with ribbon fibre (not essential but would be an advantage) and will have worked with multi and single mode fibre.

C&G 3667 in Fibre Installation & Testing qualification, or equivalent, is expected from the successful candidate.
The Fibre Optic Splicer will have previous, proven experience and knowledge of using OTDRs, fibre scopes, ILM and ORL testing (testing to 1410 & 1550nm).
Essential:
Experience of following design schematics and management direction
Ability to maintain and interpret records of daily work logs, data recordings and network design maps.
Ability to adhere to strict Health & Safety Guidelines
Ability to perform other duties as requested by supervisor
Minimum 2 years’ experience in fibre splicing and testing
Experience in working on fibre projects
Training certificates in fibre splicing and testing (e.g. C&G 3667 in fibre installation & testing or BTEC Advanced test & measurement).
40 hour week + overtime
Salary: €16.50 per hour
